Debate Workbench · free beta

Your prep never leaves your computer. There is no account, no server, and nothing to log in to. Every card, case, flow and round you make is stored by your own browser, on your own device.

What is collected

Nothing, by us. There is no analytics we have added, no advertising, no error reporting service, and no cookies. The app makes no network requests after the page has loaded — your prep is never sent anywhere.

What the host sees

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare records requests in its own logs — IP address, which page, and when — and shows us aggregate counts like “453 requests yesterday”. We cannot see who you are from that, and it says nothing about what is in your workspace, because your workspace never leaves your device.

Being straight about one more thing: Cloudflare inserts its own analytics script into pages on our plan, and we cannot turn that off. So this site sends a security policy with every page that blocks the script from loading at all. You can verify it — open your browser’s developer console and you will see the script being refused. It never runs, and it never measures you.

Where your work is stored

In your browser's own storage (IndexedDB), under this website's address. That has two consequences worth understanding:

The app keeps rolling backups on the same device and asks your browser to treat the data as persistent rather than disposable. That protects against the browser quietly reclaiming space. It does not protect against a lost laptop, so export regularly.

If you turn on folder backup

You can point the app at a folder on your own computer, and it will write a copy of your workspace there as you work. That copy goes where you chose and nowhere else — it is not sent to us, and we could not read it if it were.

If the folder you pick is one a cloud drive syncs — Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive — then that company has a copy, under whatever terms you already have with them. That is the point of picking such a folder, and it is worth knowing you are choosing it. Pick an ordinary local folder instead and the copy never leaves the machine.

Your evidence is yours

Documents you import are read in the browser and never uploaded. Nothing you write or cut is used to train any model, by us or anyone else. We could not do so if we wanted to — we never receive it.

If you are under 18

Most people using this are high school students, which is why the app was built to hold no personal information at all: no name, no email, no school, no age. If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian before using any software, including this.

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to request, correct or delete on our side. Deleting the app's site data in your browser removes everything, permanently and immediately.

If this changes

Accounts and sync are planned, so that a lost laptop stops meaning a lost season. If that arrives it will be opt-in, it will be announced here before it ships, and the promise not to train on your evidence will not change. Until then, everything above is the whole picture.
